Great News!
Our first shipment of five boxes of books is en route to Salug, Philippines.
These boxes will be arriving in the Philippines early December.  Two of the founding members of Share Books Worldwide will be present, in the Philippines, for this wonderful occasion.  The combined five boxes include approximately 800 books.  Watch for upcoming pictures being posted.
We also have an agreement with the local municipality officials to host our donated books in their local public library.  This is another great opportunity to get books into the hands of eager learners and to, 'Give the Gift of Knowledge'.

Important questions asked about our organization:

Q: What happens to the books that I donate to your organization?
A:  Step 1)  Books are shipped to Share Books Worldwide
Step 2) Books with literary value are sent abroad, with our current focus in the Salug area of the Philippines, where eager volunteers receive the books and disburse them into local areas with the most need.
Step 3) Books with monetary value are sold online with the proceeds supporting our mission.
Step 4) Books unable to be sold or donated will be recycled.

Q: How much does it cost to ship books to the Philippines?
A: For a large box 24x20x18 it costs $100.00 US dollars.

Q: How long does the shipping process take?
A: We currently are shipping by sea; it takes approximately 6 to 8 weeks to arrive in the Philippines.
